Photography courses by Richard Wright

Here at Winter Quarters we are developing photography courses for the spring and fall in this visually stunning and inspirational region of the Cariboo in British Columbia. The course will be based around the adventure, wildlife and unique life we have here in the Cariboo Mountains and will be led by a skilled group of photographers, guides and other specialists to give you a week of stimulating subjects and photographic instruction.

One thing we can guarantee: Each course will be a different adventure dependent on our mountain weather, wildlife migration and your goals, but you will go home refreshed and inspired with hundreds of digital memories.

Our region offers wildlife from caribou to grizzlies, moose to small fur-bearers.  We have the 120-building historic site of Barkerville Historic Town, historic mining sites and working mines, canoeing, mountain biking, with dog sledding and skiing in season.  We are on the door step of the fantastic Bowron Lake canoe circuit, rich in wildlife and adventure. Add to this a wealth of portrait subjects and models and you have a week of shooting like no where else.

The "Cariboo Photographic Adventure" courses will be all-inclusive from arrival to departure. The first 6-day course is being planned for early October.
